#A134. Fully Guided Trophy Bear Hunt in Alberta
Trophy Spring Bear - Fully Guided - Spot and Stalk Hunt
Blonde, cinnamon, brown... The most prized of all black bear trophies. They are the most thought after of all bears. If you are looking for such a rare trophy, you can join us on our new fully guided adventure into the interior of Alberta. Our hunting area has one of the highest densities of color phased bears in the world. With over 40,000 black bears, Alberta has a large concentration of black bears and certainly offers the most beautiful country in the world for hunting. Approximately 30% of the population may have coats ranging from dark brown to cream, with a precious few growing the highly prized blonde coats. The hunting occurs in April-May when bears are firts out of their dens. Their fur at this time is thick and long. Since there is no baiting allowed in Alberta, all hunting is done at ground level, on foot or with the aid of 4x4 trucks. Binoculars and spotting scopes are used to find these conspicuous animals on open slopes, avalanche chutes and logging areas. One of our preferred methods of hunting is to walk old roads and meadow edges. Here plentiful signs reveal where bears have been feeding on new shoots of grass and clover. The bear's poor eyesight, and his constant preoccupation with searching for food, creates ideal conditions for close range stalking. A skilled archer with the wind in his favor can be assured of some of the most exciting moments a bowhunter can experience in his life. It's a two -bear limit area, so the opportunity to take two bears is available, their is no trophy fee for the first bear, however we charge a trophy fee of $US 500.00 for the second bear.
